Car Luggage Carriers

Are there different sizes of roof racks, for the top of a car, or are the adjustable for every vehicle?

Also, when getting a luggage bag for a roof rack, does it slide in so that it does not touch the car paint, or does it touch the car itself? Are there different luggage bags for different racks? For my small car, do I have to get a luggage rack that screws in or can I get on that clips on?

2. There are many brands and many mounting systems. Some clamp to the sides. Some cars have slots in the rain channels that you can pop out to mount roof racks. You need to do the legwork on your own and find out which racks fit your model of car.
