how do i take my roof racks off my wrx wagon?

just wondering if it would look any better.

1. There are 4 Torques screws that need to be removed. this will allow you to pull the slide rails off. from there you would need to remove the screws that hold the rails to the roof and pull the bumper rails off the top they should be held on with some adhesive. Once this has been completed you need to fill in the holes that are left from the bottom rails. Other wise that is all there is to removing the top rack
2. It's pretty time consuming because you have to remove the roof liner to get to all the bolts and that requires removing a lot of things like the handles, sun shades, and all the pillar moldings. Your best bet is to find someone local with an Impreza wagon without rails that would like to have yours. Then by trading, you will have all the parts to make it clean and leak free. If you can't find anyone, then you will have to order the strips and caps needed to cover everything and the dealer or online parts stores can get that for you. I like subarugenuineparts.com.
