So heres my dilema. I have to go pick up a rescue puppy pretty soon, he will be 11 weeks when I pick him up but he is a 14hr drive away. I have never had to transport a such a young pup such a long distence and I wanted some advice. The plane ride would be about 4 hours and from what I understand as long as they are small enough they can ride in a cat carrier up front (not in luggage) but my question is his ears?Would they bother him if he had a chew toy or will the change in pressure be bad at such a young age? He will see a vet before I leave his home state so obviously I will be asking the vet these questions as well, I just wanted to see if anyone has expeirence with long distence travel and puppies. I just dont know how a 14hr car ride with a young pup would go bc im pretty sure i'll be making the trip alone, I would hate for him to be carsick the whole way. Also, how strict are the law about transporting APBTs (mix) across state lines? He is young enough that I'm sure he could pass for another breed if need be but I dont want to run into any kind of issues...
